Data, data, and more data.

That was the overwhelming theme of the Future of Construction FCON conference last week in . The event brought together over 1000 people in the construction industry who are all dealing with the same challenges: workforce shortages, digital transformation, delivery certainty, and the enormous opportunity of Queensland’s largest-ever infrastructure investment, Brisbane 2032.

Here's what it means for us.

1. Data is critical for construction. Your ‘single source of truth’ needs to be accurate and connected to enable efficiencies and better decisions. The ‘digital twin’ of a project is as complex as the physical one. Someone has to build and maintain it.

2. The workforce problem won't be solved by the same talent pipelines that created it. The construction industry critically needs new sources of skilled, loyal, precise data professionals. But they already exist – young autistic adults facing a 34% unemployment rate. They're just overlooked.

Australian Spatial Analytics has the answer to both of these problems. If we spoke at FCON26, it was great talking to you. If we didn't, please get in touch with us to find out more.

Will your Brisbane 2032 infrastructure projects be remembered for their budget or their impact?

The true measure of success for Queensland’s largest-ever infrastructure investment won't be the venues, athletes' villages or upgraded transport infrastructure—it will be the social legacy that’s left behind.

Things like the number of new careers for disadvantaged Queenslanders. New housing for those who don’t have one. Expanded grassroots sports participation.

ASA is already delivering the digital foundations for Queensland’s future, creating new and careers for young autistic adults facing a 34% unemployment rate. By integrating social enterprises into the supply chain right now, we can ensure that every dollar spent creates a positive impact. In our case, a ‘big data’ career pathway for a young neurodivergent adult.

Let’s build a Games that everyone can be proud of, starting with the data that defines it by building the digital foundation for a decades-long legacy.

Heading to the Future of Construction Summit today? Connect with our CEO Geoffrey Smith and Marketing and Communications Manager Anthony Bianco to discuss social procurement strategies.

Our office was visited yesterday by another fellow – Zoe Attebury, founder of Bloom Cycle. We have a lot in common! Bloom Cycle not only provides job opportunities for autistic people, but also makes amazing bespoke trophies for government organisations and multiple events!

What sets Bloom Cycle apart is both its craft and its conscience: its trophies are handcrafted from local, recycled timber, producing a fraction of the carbon emissions of a typical imported plastic trophy. All while creating social impact for autistic people.

We were pretty stoked that Zoe made a trophy just for us! She’s pictured with our Marketing and Communications Manager Anthony Bianco. After seeing their great work first-hand, this could be a nice idea for Brisbane 2032! 😊

What does $15,000 look like?

It's a young autistic adult's first real payslip. The end of a long-term employment drought.

At Australian Spatial Analytics (ASA), every dollar goes directly into building 'big data' careers for young autistic Australians facing an appalling 34% unemployment rate. Since 2020, we’ve created over 250 careers for disadvantaged people who may otherwise be unemployed. At ASA, we are not offering charity; we are offering a career path. We bridge the gap between neurodivergent talent and the high-demand world of data analytics.

For corporations and philanthropic organisations ready to turn CSR into something transformative: this is where your investment makes a real, measurable difference. And the ripple effect is extraordinary.

How you can help:
🌟 Corporate Giving: align your brand with meaningful social change with a proven social enterprise
🌟 Philanthropic Grants: help us build the infrastructure for long-term success

Your donation doesn't just fund a program; it fuels:
✅ Specialised training for neurodivergent professionals
✅ Supportive workplace environments that foster growth
✅ A more inclusive, innovative Australian workforce

Led by Geoffrey Smith, the 2025 Queensland Australian of the Year, ASA is a registered charity with DGR status, meaning your donation is fully tax-deductible.
