Japha We've been making IT easier for businesses and home users for over 17 years. At Japha we get IT done. And our clients loved it!

Japha was founded in 2008 after the realisation that many businesses and home users wanted to have a single company they could rely on for all of their IT needs. Given our diverse IT skill set and experience, it made sense to start a company that could help with "everything IT". Since then, we've added new talent to our team, formed strategic partnerships with other companies, and expanded our ran

ge of products and services. We've gained a reputation amongst our clients as being:

- problem solvers
- easy to work with
- reliable
- great value for money
- committed to getting IT done

As a company we'll continue to grow and evolve, offering new products and services to meet our clients' needs. We're committed to the needs of our clients - in Queensland, throughout Australia, and around the world. And we'll continue to strive for excellence every day.

"Research reveals that the information Australians are putting on social media could make them easy targets for scammers and identity theft. Most Australians are not reviewing the privacy settings of the platforms they share information with."

New research suggests Australians are leaving themselves vulnerable to cybercrime through their public social media accounts.

This is good advice!

Different sources vary with how often they say your backup data drive should be refreshed. Based on our research and experience - we recommend doing a full rewrite every 18 months if you're using a "traditional" magnetic hard drive, or every 6 months if you're using an SSD.

Some additional advice regarding backups:
- Have a dedicated backup drive, don't use it for other stuff too.
- Use a hard drive rather than an SSD (and leave your backup drive in a standard location) - unless you specifically need to take your backup with you for some reason.
- Follow the "3-2-1" backup strategy: at least 3 copies of your backed-up data, on 2 different types of storage media, with 1 backup copy stored off-site.
