Cloud-managed wireless works well at smaller scale, but campus environments are a different challenge.

As networks grow, pressure builds. Connections can drop as users move, switches become overloaded and background traffic increases. What once felt simple can become difficult to manage.

Cisco Campus Gateway provides a central way to manage wireless traffic, helping maintain performance and consistent connectivity without moving away from the Meraki platform.

If your campus network is starting to show signs of strain, it may be time to take a different approach.

AI investment is delivering mixed results.

Some organisations are seeing clear value, while others are still questioning the return.

In this short clip, Cisco CTO for ANZ, Carl Solder, points to a consistent pattern. Organisations making stronger progress with AI tend to have the structure, scale and alignment needed to move beyond experimentation and focus on business outcomes.

Smaller organisations are not excluded, but results are closely tied to readiness. Return on investment depends as much on operating model, data maturity and internal alignment as it does on the technology itself.

This video is part of the CTO Insights series, featuring Data #3 CTO, Graham Robinson, and Cisco CTO for ANZ, Carl Solder, as they explore how AI, cyber risk, infrastructure pressure and workplace transformation are shaping enterprise decision-making.

IT isn’t just about code, it’s about people.

Mimi shares how the Brenda Conroy Future Leaders Internship Program (BCFLIP) helped her discover the human side of the IT industry.

Seeing collaborative teams in action and experiencing real workplace environments showed her how technical expertise and people skills complement each other, and why diverse, supportive teams matter in technology.

“I didn’t expect how important the people side would be.”

When something goes wrong in your cloud environment, the way your team responds matters.

High availability, redundancy and failover are important, but operational resilience is shaped by how quickly teams can detect, diagnose and resolve issues when conditions are unpredictable.

For many organisations, response time is affected by the operating model. Process gaps, unclear escalation paths and reliance on a small group of specialists can slow decisions and increase the impact of incidents.

If you want to strengthen resilience in real-world conditions, it’s time to look beyond design and focus on how your teams operate.

Many organisations assume that moving to the cloud automatically solves disaster recovery, but in practice cloud and hybrid environments introduce new dependencies, and redundancy alone won’t help if systems become unavailable or inaccessible.

Recent outages show disruption is often caused by human error, misconfiguration or supplier issues, not just cyber attacks. Without a clear, tested approach, even well‑designed environments can leave organisations exposed.

If disaster recovery has slipped down the priority list, it may be time to reassess.

Giving back is always more rewarding when you can roll up your sleeves and get involved.

Recently, members of in Adelaide spent a morning volunteering with Treasure Boxes to support families in crisis. Across a 2.5-hour session, the team helped sort donations, pack items and prepare essential goods for those who need them most.

From organising book bags to testing toys and supporting warehouse operations, every task helped make a real difference for local families.
It’s fantastic to see our people coming together to support such an important cause, bringing energy, generosity and a genuine commitment to the community.

Well done to everyone involved for taking the time to make a meaningful impact.

When supply is constrained, investment strategy becomes a business priority.

In this short clip, Cisco CTO for ANZ, Carl Solder, explains how shortages in memory and embedded infrastructure are driving up costs and pushing organisations to make more deliberate decisions about where technology spend will have the greatest impact.

In a constrained market, investment discipline matters. Organisations need to prioritise what will deliver meaningful outcomes rather than expanding spend without a clear return.

This video is part of The CTO Insights series, featuring Data #3 CTO, Graham Robinson, and Cisco CTO for ANZ, Carl Solder, as they explore how AI, cyber risk, infrastructure pressure and workplace transformation are shaping enterprise decision-making.

This week, we recognised National Reconciliation Week across the business, taking time to reflect, learn and connect under this year’s theme, ‘All In’.

In Queensland, our team came together for a morning tea with WattleNest Ambassadors Anthony Corrie and Zara Hagan, who shared personal stories and perspectives on reconciliation. We also hosted a hands-on boomerang painting workshop, learning about Aboriginal symbols and storytelling from an Aboriginal artist.

Across the country, teams have been engaging in local activities and conversations that deepen our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories.

National Reconciliation Week is a reminder that reconciliation is a shared responsibility, and that progress comes when we’re all involved.

Supporting Feel the Magic through community and connection

Earlier this month in Sydney hosted a Blue Party in support of Feel the Magic, a charity that supports children grieving the loss of a family member through early intervention programs.

With a balloon raffle, great prizes and plenty of team spirit, we collectively raised $2.1k to support their important work.
