Before you open Canva, answer these three questions.

Where is this graphic going?
Who's seeing it?
And what do they need from it to actually take action?

Most people skip straight to designing...and that's exactly why the graphic ends up looking pretty but doing nothing.

Two minutes of intention before you start will save you an hour of fiddling at the end (I promise!)

This is just Canva shortcut number one 👇

Press R on your keyboard while you're inside Canva and a fully editable rectangle drops straight onto your canvas.

Colour it, round the corners, add a stroke, make it narrower so it looks like a button... all without touching your toolbar.

It sounds almost too simple. But that's kind of the point, right? The best shortcuts are the ones you don't have to think about.

I bet you might not be using drop shadows to their full potential in Canva 💜

Because there is a wrong way, and it's making otherwise lovely designs look murky.

Dark text, heavy shadows, intensity way too high... it all adds up to a design that feels less professional, not more.

My friend .hazal said something on my podcast that I keep thinking about...
