Despite the most wonderful display of Albany weather, including hail and absolutely no voice left after such a huge week it was such a fantastic opportunity to connect with our local business community at the Albany Business Centre Small Business Expo on Saturday!

It was great to be part of an event celebrating the people, ideas and businesses that make our region such a wonderful place to live and work.

At DelMac Tech, we believe technology should make life easier, not more complicated. We provide practical, personalised digital support to help individuals, families and small businesses feel more confident using technology.

From everyday device assistance and digital confidence building to online safety and business administration support, our goal is simple: to make technology work for you.

What a wonderful day we had in Mount Barker last Wednesday for our first Get Online Week workshop.

We spent the day exploring AI, building digital confidence and discovering how technology can work for us rather than overwhelm us.

We also explored the Be Connected website, where participants created their own accounts and discovered the wealth of free resources available to help Australians build their digital skills and confidence.

It was fantastic to see everyone asking questions, sharing experiences and having a go at something new. That’s what digital confidence is all about — learning at your own pace, in a supportive environment, without judgement.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us, the Mount Barker Library and Community Resource Centre for hosting us, and Good Things Australia for supporting digital inclusion across Australia.

Technology keeps changing, but nobody should feel left behind.

What a week for DelMac Tech!

Get Online Week took us to Mount Barker for a fantastic day of learning, sharing and building digital confidence, followed by the Albany Small Business Expo — and we certainly experienced a bit of everything along the way, including hail!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to the Mount Barker workshops, asked questions, shared their experiences and took the time to build their digital skills. It was wonderful to see people engaging with technology, exploring AI and discovering that learning something new doesn’t have to be intimidating.

Thank you to Mount Barker Library and Community Resource Centre for their lovely hospitality and inviting environment, and to Good Things Australia and the Be Connected network for the supporting initiatives that help Australians feel safer and more confident online.

And to everyone who visited the DelMac Tech stand at the Albany Small Business Expo — thank you for stopping by, having a chat, learning about what we do and supporting a local small business. A big thank you to the Albany Business Centre and everyone involved in organising the expo and bringing local businesses and the community together.

A new national warning system (called the AusAlert test) will send a safety alarm to all phones at this time, even if the volume is turned down, or it’s on silent / do not disturb.
