Hoping my husband can't keep track of all of my social media posts - as my daughter and I just invested in one of these! Its a 3D printer! Any small plastic thing you can think of I should be able to design and print - like cookie stamps, cutters, cake toppers, pots, tool holders, little coloured shapes.... my creative mind is boggling with possibilities.

By the way if you are confused - thinking you were following my Etsy site for fine art prints - check out an earlier post - I am in the process of expanding to offer a full range of custom creative options - designing and making things specific to your needs for any event. If you're looking for someone to make "x" for you - just Ask Frankie!

I've always been a maker of special moments.
I am passionate about putting in the extra effort to create experiences, moments, & memories that people respond to with wide eyes and a "wow". When I hear those words - I know I've achieved my goals.
In 2018 I launched my art business, and I named it Lisa Cockington Creative Studio - because I offer so many more things than just art. The art was another way to create special moments - the right piece of art can evoke amazing emotions and joy when you walk into a room.
I kept “making things” - memorabilia boxes, bridesmaid boxes, wedding invitations, seating plans, quilts, baby things, art kits, and my latest editions of wearable art. Most of this I sell through Etsy along with my art prints, and word of mouth.
Then late last year - my dear friend Georgina mentioned that she was going to be a celebrant. (Thankyou Georg!) The light bulb went on as I remembered I had toyed with this idea a few years ago, but didn’t have the time for the study. BiNGO - since leaving my day job I HAD the time - and it was the perfect way to “create special moments” in a different setting.
The study is now done, and waiting for registration as a marriage celebrant, I’ve been reorganising my business offerings into more niche services.
So here are the changes:
Lisa Cockington Creative Studio is rebranding to Lisa Cockington Art. I’m moving the “making” aspects to another business and my website/socials will be entirely dedicated to fine art (and art prints)
Love Celebrations by Lisa will launch shortly - offering bespoke ceremonies and events with a focus on “creating special moments and memories”. Over the years I’ve researched this topic extensively and can’t wait to put this into action. - looking at how to transform events into something that will be enjoyed and remembered for a lifetime.
And lasting, introducing…
Ask Frankie - a custom creative service. Ever been looking for someone who could custom make “xyz” for you? Then just Ask Frankie. Whilst Love Celebrations focuses on preparing people and events for amazing experiences that celebrate life transitions - Ask Frankie focusses on creating the little things that contribute to this. Think keepsake boxes for weddings and funerals, invitations, seating plans, welcome boards, heirloom baby quilts, custom fabric design, baby milestone cards, vow writing, ceremony booklets, creative collaborative art kits for weddings etc.
Ask Frankie will become a custom creative service that bridges between Lisa Cockington Art and Love Celebrations by Lisa, supporting the customers of both of these.

So what will you see? You may have noticed that I’ve already rebranded my Facebook and Instagram pages - if you’re not following me on some of them - my username is in the photo above. Check me out - I’d love a follow from you.

The website for Love Celebrations is underway - and once complete - I’ll start Ask Frankie’s. Then finally a revamp of Lisa Cockington Art.
Over the next little while - I’ll share more info of each - but on the relevant pages. Revamping Facebook and Instagram will take a little longer.

And trust me - when I’m ready to take bookings as a celebrant - you’ll hear about it!

For those of you who have been looking at the Secret Garden collection but don't have big walls or big pockets - I haven't forgotten you! Here are the last two gatecrashers fot the Secret Garden release.
You may remember when we did the co-design process, one of the things I picked up was that some would like to see small works on paper. So here are two that I did at the beginning.

I created these small works on canvas paper - a type of thick textured card that is archival in quality and can be easily framed. I used them as small studies for the work I was about to do on canvas.

I think they look amazing in thick white mat board and frames - full of light and simplistic. But, with budgets in mind, I am also offering them as prints - from A4 through to A2!

So grab the originals on my website, or head to the link below to order prints from my Etsy store. You can buy either one, or purchase them together at a bundled price!

First test run on a new idea of mine - a part of my Art in Weddings plan.

The idea is that you can include a creative experience in your ceremony to symbolise the collaborative support your guests offer for your marriage, and a memorable piece of art to hang in your home afterwards.

A pre-prepared canvas masks out a design (in this case a heart, or if it works well enough, maybe the couple's names and the date, and guests pour different coloured paint across the canvas. When it dries, you remove the masking and reveal the design. Voila.

Some work to be done yet - like how to keep the guests clean, how to not pour too much paint like I did, and have to wipe it off in vertical stripes.

I know that people are doing this in weddings already - so I just need to play around and perfect the process. Then I can either offer them in my weddings, or sell everything you need in a kit. I love the idea of offering creative expression in ceremonies, and being able to make use of my skills in this way!

These invites went out this week to Melbourne (actual names/details withheld) and we co-designed these cute little gift advice cards as well!
Note the COVID impact: For a wedding to be held in two weeks time! So hard for so many couples at the moment - a big shout out to all of those who are dealing with constant delays, supply issues etc.
I'm more than happy to help if I can. These invites dispatched within 24 hours of the order and via express post.
FYI if you don't know me - I've actually been dabbling in the wedding industry for the last couple of years - mainly in the form of designing and printing wedding invites, save the date cards, welcome boards, seating charts - that sort of thing....adding those little extra "special touches" to people's big days. Its an extension of my art business, and I have a fine art print service. Each one of these invites is a mini giclee print on archival fine art paper. The invitations won't fade or disintegrate - you can keep them and the memories they create for a 100 years!
