... your professional partner in music-notation & layouting, composing & arranging ... your shop for the finest european sheet-music … exclusive: The Vienna Art Orchestra Series - check it out: www.r-gee-music.markusgeiselhart.de In 2009 Markus called Tobias, a german (swabian) guy living in the Netherlands the first time for the Würzburg Jazz Orchestra on the recommendation of Jürgen Martl, jazz-
trumpetplayer from Cologne. On this first project together they already recognized that they come along with eachother very well and one of the first thing they talked about was the fact that most of all Bigbands have to deal with badly written, unreadable parts in their rehearsals and that this costs a lot of unnecessary rehearsal-time. In the following different productions of Markus, Tobias worked for him as a copyist. During all these long periods of writing, layouting and lots of hours spending with Skype they increased their idea about how to get a clear and perfect music-layout for parts and even scores. Out of all these long terms of talking and discussing came the idea to start up a publishing company for bigband music. With the end of the Vienna Art Orchestra in 2010 Markus talked to mathias rüegg, founder and leader of the VAO about the idea to rewrite and recover the whole handwritten music-archive of this famous band to make it accessible to every band in the world. They started their resarch in early 2011, which meant that Markus first had tocompare the original-scores of mathias with the hand-written parts and the recordings in every small detail before he could put the final, official version into his computer. Tobias' job then was about to check the material and to create a perfect layout for all the parts and scores. Now – the first arrangements are ready and can be ordered in our shop. The catalogue of the 'Vienna Art Orchestra Series' will be groing steadily over the next few years. Markus and Tobias are very happy about being able to publish this important part of the European bigband-jazz history now.
