A few more colorways from my Vintage Hydrangea collection - because apparently one hydrangea rabbit hole wasn’t enough.
From soft, faded pastels to warmer earthy tones, all with the same mix of filled blooms and fine botanical linework.

For the upcoming Spoonflower challenge, I ended up spending more time with hydrangeas than expected - and quite happily so. đŸ„°
I kept them a little lighter and more open, mixing solid blooms with fine botanical linework for a softer, more timeworn feel. There are 14 colorways in total, from warm earthy shades to pale, muted pastels.
For the challenge, I went with misty aqua, olive and cream - a color mix that sits somewhere between vintage botanical and refined cottagecore.

Back in winter, I had a custom design inquiry for a chinoiserie with peacocks and cherry blossoms. I didn’t have the time to take it on then because I was deep into the Intarsia collection, and the project never picked up again.

But I stayed curious about it. Mostly because I wanted to know if I could actually make this style work in a way that still felt like mine.

So, a few months later: here it is.

Still tired of the heat, I’m more than ready for fall.

So I finally revisited a design I’d been meaning to rework for quite a while. Woodland Botanical Toile is now a denser, more detailed mix of blueberries, strawberries, pinecones, acorns, oak leaves, and ferns, drawn in a vintage botanical style and recolored in a range of earthy, moody tones.

For makers and interior designers ready to let the circus in: it has arrived, and naturally, it brought coordinating prints.

This collection had been on my list for months. I kept returning to it, adjusting the motifs, refining the colors and gradually building the full circus around them.

This vintage-inspired collection pairs whimsical big-top scenes with stripes, ogees, dots and geometric companions across a range of playful retro colorways.

The full collection is also available for licensing across products, textiles, stationery and packaging. Licensing inquiries welcome!

It is currently very much not Christmas in Vienna. More like “the pavement is trying to sous-vide me” season.

Still, I’m thrilled that one of my designs from the Midnight Folk Christmas collection is featured in the Festive Forecast 27 issue of Stories, a trend publication by Paper & Cloth Studio seen by in-house buying teams at high-profile brands.

Folksy Advent Wreath Plaid brings red bows, sage wreaths, a heritage tartan mood, and just enough vintage Christmas charm to suggest someone is already planning stockings, table linens, and wrapping paper while the rest of us are quietly melting.

The last few days have been cold here in Vienna - the kind of cold that makes May feel personally confused. Apparently that was my cue to work on cozy plaids.
This started as another prompt and turned into a textured slub yarn plaid collection with irregular, woven-look linework. Think heritage checks, farmstead rooms, equestrian corners, moody bedrooms, cottage kitchens, and the occasional fabric swatch pretending it has its life together.

Design: Textured Slub Yarn Plaid (17 colors available)

A lace design had been sitting on my prompt list for ages, which may explain why I lost the plot a little with the Lace prompt for .

Last week was busy, and somewhere between “keep it simple” and “this should work as a blender,” I wandered off into a fairly demanding lace design. So yes, once again, simple turned out to be not especially simple for me. I’m accepting that I’ll be working through the Blender Bonanza prompts a bit more slowly and very much at my own pace.

Still, I’m really happy with how convincingly lace-like this one feels - from soft and delicate to moodier colorways with a bit more drama.

I’ve spent the last few months working with wood textures for a project, so for once this design came together pretty fast.

Before I head off for a long weekend in the garden - May 1 is a holiday here in Austria - here’s my pattern for prompt 9 of the Blender Bonanza challenge: woodgrain, or wood-inspired texture.
