1. Business Students:
The recepient of this scholarship will study:
Phase One (Preparatory Programs):
· General English Courses
· TOEFL or IELTS preparation courses
· Business English
· Introduction to Business, Accounting and Finance
Phase Two (Certification Programs):
· Foundation in Accountancy (FIA)
In addition to FIA, the business students will also be trained in:
· Basic computer literacy
· QuickBooks Accounting software
· Resume writing and interview skills
2. Information Technology Students:
The recepient of this scholarship will study:
Phase One (Preparatory Programs):
· General English Courses
· TOEFL or IELTS preparation courses
· English for IT
Phase Two (Certifications Programs):
· (Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), CompTIA A+ (with online certification)
· MSCA/MSCE Server 2012 (with online certification)
In addition to these, the IT students will also be trained in
· Customized Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
· Customized project management and leadership
Purpose of scholarship:
In an effort towards women empowerment in Afghanistan the Professional Development Institute (PDI) of the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF), with the support of The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), will enroll 540 women in its certification programs on full scholarships over next 22 months under the PROMOTE project.
PDI will implement the project in two distinct phases. Phase one will be a preparatory program which shall take 6 months. Phase two shall consist of the certifications’ programs and job-oriented, soft skills, which will take 16 months to complete.

Scholarship Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements, or otherwise; their applications will not be considered.
• The applicant must be Afghan female citizen.
• Must have basic command of English Language
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must have at least high school certificate
