Two generations of our black showcase gaming PCs, and one customer told us something we didn’t expect:

They preferred the older design.

The older build uses the more traditional RGB fan style, while the newer version goes much harder on the modern Infinity-style lighting and cleaner RGB presentation.

Assume both PCs had exactly the same performance.

Ever wonder why some PCs run hotter than others, even with the same parts?

A big part of it comes down to cable management.

Here's a real before-and-after from one of our builds. Same parts,
same case the only thing that changed is how the cables are routed.

Messy cables trap heat around your CPU and GPU. Clean routing lets
air move the way it should and makes it easier to service later.

Now the million dollar question is, Does cooling part apply to this build?

Extra work for us, but never mind. This is what we do every single day.

What you’re seeing here is a perfect example of improper planning during the parts‑selection phase. When too many individual controllers are added to a system, the probability of failure increases, and software integration becomes a headache.

Take a closer look at this build and try guessing how many separate controllers are installed.
In reality, a well‑engineered system should have the least number of controllers possible, it keeps the setup stable, predictable, and easy to maintain.

This unfinished Lian Li O11 Vision Compact build came to us with eight NZXT F120 Duo fans already installed, but the airflow setup immediately looked wrong.

Almost every fan was mounted as exhaust, while only one rear fan was set as intake. That means the case had very little controlled fresh-air intake and the fan layout was working against itself.

We corrected the airflow and finished the build properly.
